Scotland has a very long tradition of lager brewing, and Monohorn is an attempt to capture what we consider to be unique about the type of beer we all grew up drinking. High in unmalted grains to keep things crisp, but also a touch maltier and more amber than most of its European counterparts, I really feel like we’ve hit the nail on the head with this one. It’s been the only thing I’ve been drinking during its short preview in the taproom.
